Our ABA Team
The staff at Believe in Me makes utilizing a team approach an absolute pleasure.
Our staff members are expertly trained in early childhood development, behavior strategies, and sensory accommodations (with on-going training occurring weekly). Our team is highly skilled and deeply passionate about the work we do.
Jessica is a graduate of Montclair State University. She holds her Masters in Teaching and is dually certified as a K-6 educator and teacher of students with disabilities. She also holds certifications in middle school math and science. Prior to becoming a middle school special education teacher, she worked as a preschool teacher. Jessica has been a part of the Believe in Me team since 2015. Jessica loves to facilitate circle time activities and plan group games, which always foster collaboration and guarantee loads of fun!
Caroline is a recent graduate of Catholic University of America, graduating with a Bachelors in Psychological and Brain Sciences. She has worked with children on the Autism spectrum in a variety of settings and this year is taking the time to gain additional experience in the field before pursuing her graduate degree. Caroline is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and loves to incorporate lots of play into her activities to keep sessions exciting and engaging!
Victoria is currently a student at Seton Hall University where she is enrolled in a dual degree program in elementary and special education and social and behavioral sciences. She will be earning her Masters degree in speech and language pathology and just completed two internships in inclusive elementary classrooms. Victoria loves to help children reach their highest potential!
Emilee is a student at Montclair State University studying special education. She previously completed an independent study running a preschool program and teaching other high schoolers how to create lesson plans and work with children. Emilee is excellent at developing instant rapport with children and loves facilitating lively games and activities to help children interact and build play skills!
Giancarlo is an aspiring pediatric occupational therapist. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lehman College and is applying to occupational therapy graduate school this year. Over the past decade, he has served diverse populations from 3 ½ to 21 years old with developmental, emotional, and physical needs in schools, after-school centers, in-home, as well as in clinic and hospital settings. He currently also works for Sunrise Association, a non-profit that serves children with cancer as a Hospital/Family Liaison Coordinator and as a youth soccer referee on weekends.
Giancarlo’s therapeutic approach is seasoned with adventurous creativity and genuine patience. One of his greatest joys is hearing a child say, “thank you for believing in me.”
After enjoying careers in Education, Textbook Marketing, and Domestic Engineering, Maggie has spent the last 6 1/2 years practicing ABA as a staff assistant in the Rockaway Township Public Schools. During this time she has taught students in grades K-2 on the autism spectrum. Her greatest reward is witnessing the many accomplishments, both large and small, that her students achieve each year.
Tom is an aspiring Speech-Language Pathologist. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and is currently applying to master’s programs. Tom began working in the field 2 years ago as a hockey coach and personal trainer for children with special needs. He still serves as the lead on-ice and off-ice instructor for the Monarchs Hockey Club in Stockholm, NJ. He has a love for unlocking a child’s full potential!
Meghan is a graduate of William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and English literature. She has been doing ABA therapy for seven years, has worked in ABA classrooms, and has three years of experience doing in-home ABA therapy. Meghan has experience working with children with ASD ranging from ages three to 14 years old. She is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Meghan enjoys working at Believe in Me because it gives her the opportunity to work with different children everyday. She hopes to further her career even further in the field of ABA therapy and continue to make a difference in the lives of children on the autism spectrum and their families!
